CLIAMP Synthwave Nights

CLIAMP Synthwave Nights is a live synthwave channel from the CLIAMP internet radio service. It plays a continuous, uninterrupted flow of retro-futuristic electronic music in the synthwave style, built around analog-style synthesizers, driving beats and a nostalgic 1980s atmosphere.

CLIAMP is the radio service connected to cliamp, an open source terminal music player, and its channels are served from radio.cliamp.stream. The service lists a number of always-on channels covering different styles, and this one is a live stream without a song library, so there is nothing to seek or skip. The stream identifies itself as Synthwave and the listing places the service in Norway. The lyrics, where there are any, are mostly in English, and much of the music is instrumental.

It suits late-evening listening, coding, driving or any time you want a steady, moody electronic backdrop. The stream is a continuous 128 kbps stereo MP3 over HTTPS, so it plays in any browser or standard audio player. The cliamp project documents the radio as always on and needing no account. The individual operators are not named and no track lists are published, so expect a continuous rotation without presenter talk.
