Smooth 80s

Smooth 80s is an Australian digital radio station dedicated to the music of the 1980s. It is part of the smooth network and plays a relaxed, melodic selection of pop, soft rock and adult contemporary hits from that decade, in keeping with the easy-going style of the smooth brand.

The smooth brand is owned and operated by Nova Entertainment. Smooth 80s is one of the era-based digital stations the network added alongside smooth Relax and smooth 90s, and it is broadcast on DAB+ digital radio in Australia as well as online. Presentation is in English, and the station is aimed at adult listeners who grew up with, or simply enjoy, the sounds of the eighties.

Listeners can expect a steady flow of familiar songs from the decade with little talk between tracks, making it a good fit for working, driving or relaxing. Detailed playlists and presenter line-ups are not published here, so check the official smooth website for current programming.

This stream delivers the station as high-bitrate AAC+ audio (about 320 kbps) in stereo, which is well above the quality of most internet radio feeds.
