Brazil has one of the largest radio audiences in the world, with AM and FM stations in every city and a strong tradition of news, sport and music on the air, and Brazilian Portuguese is spoken with a warm and rhythmic character that learners find rewarding. The internet lets Brazilians living abroad keep in touch with the sound of home. As a commercial service, it carries advertising and promotional messages between programmes. The stream is delivered as AAC at 64 kbps, a low bitrate that keeps data use small and is adequate for casual listening, though the sound is less detailed than on higher-bitrate streams. It plays in your browser on RadioKite without installation, and you can add it to your favourites.
