FIP Groove

FIP Groove, listed here as FIP autour du groove, is one of the thematic web radios of FIP, the music station of the French public broadcaster Radio France. It plays a mix of groove-driven music including soul, funk, R&B, jazz and lounge sounds, selected in the eclectic manner that FIP is known for.

FIP itself began in Paris and is part of Radio France, which is publicly funded. Its web radios each follow a theme and run alongside the main FIP programme. The music is international, with presenters and announcements in French, and there is very little talk between tracks. Radio France does not publish a detailed format description for this channel on the pages consulted, so the genre list here is a general summary.

Listeners can expect smooth, rhythmic selections with little interruption, suitable for working or relaxing. The stream is delivered as a 128 kbps MP3 stereo feed from Radio France's servers.
