NPO 3FM

NPO 3FM is the national pop music station of the Dutch public broadcasters. It plays current hits and new releases across pop, rock, indie and dance, with a strong focus on new and Dutch artists, and it is aimed mainly at younger listeners. Presenters talk between the tracks, and the schedule includes news, interviews and live sessions.

NPO, the Nederlandse Publieke Omroep, coordinates the national public radio and television services of the Netherlands, which are financed mainly through public funds. 3FM is made by several member broadcasters of the public system. The station is also known for Serious Request, the charity campaign held every December in which presenters broadcast live from a glass studio to raise money for the Red Cross. This stream identifies itself as NPO 3FM, so it carries the regular station programme, and it may also carry the special programming whenever the event is on air.

The presentation is in Dutch, with songs mostly in English and Dutch. The stream is delivered as MP3 at 192 kbps in stereo, which gives music a clear and full sound. It plays in your browser on RadioKite without installation, and you can add it to your favourites for easy access to Dutch pop radio.
