Mega 98.3

Mega 98.3 is a Buenos Aires FM station dedicated to Argentine rock, known in Spanish as rock nacional. It plays the classic and current bands and solo artists of the Argentine scene and presents music-led talk programmes around them. Listeners here get the stream as an HLS feed in AAC format.

The station began in February 1991 as FM Sport, a sports station. In 1997 it was taken over by Daniel Hadad and became FM News, and in April 2000 it was relaunched under its current name and rock identity. Since 2012 it has belonged to Grupo Indalo. The Legislature of the City of Buenos Aires has declared it of cultural interest, and it won Martin Fierro awards for musical programming in 2000 and 2001.
