Rádio FM

Rádio FM, written Rádio_FM by the broadcaster, is an alternative music station from Slovakia's public broadcaster STVR, in the tradition of Slovenský rozhlas (Slovak Radio). It is based in Bratislava and uses the slogan Počúvaj čo chceš (Listen to what you want).

The station aims to offer something different from the mainstream, with a strong share of Slovak music. Its roots go back to the youth block Rádio Elán in 1987, followed by Rock FM Rádio from 1991, and it has carried the current name since 2004. It was also the first Slovak medium to offer podcasting. Programming is in Slovak.

Listeners can expect alternative rock, hip hop, electronic music, drum and bass, house, world music and harder rock, with evening programming that leans towards niche styles such as ambient, dubstep, IDM, folktronica and metal. The online stream is an MP3 feed at 128 kbit/s in stereo, delivered over HTTPS.
