Tipik
About Tipik
Tipik is a French-language youth music brand of the Belgian public broadcaster RTBF. On radio it took over from Pure FM in September 2020, when Pure was merged with the TV channel La Deux to form a single multimedia brand for younger audiences.
The station plays a broad mix of contemporary music, including pop, rock, hip hop, R&B and electronic, with a focus on new releases and Belgian and francophone artists alongside international acts. Pure FM itself had been created in 2004 and was known for a similar mix of pop, rock, hip hop, contemporary R&B and electronic music. As part of RTBF, Tipik is publicly funded, and it is aimed at teenagers and young adults in French-speaking Belgium.
Expect music-led programming with French-speaking presenters, short spoken segments and cultural features that reflect the interests of a younger audience. This stream is an MP3 feed at about 160 kbit/s delivered over HTTPS. Note that the stream address still uses the older Pure name, even though the audio now comes from the Tipik service.
