Voice of Lebanon

Voice of Lebanon, known in Arabic as Sawt Lubnan, is a Lebanese radio station with news and talk programmes. The schedule features news bulletins, political discussion, interviews, analysis of regional developments, and programmes on society, culture and daily life, as well as some music. It is a speech-oriented service in Arabic, with the Lebanese dialect often heard in its more informal programmes, and it is aimed at listeners who want to follow events in Lebanon and the wider Middle East.

Lebanon has one of the most varied media landscapes in the Arab world, with many stations linked to different political and community groups, and the Voice of Lebanon has a long history in this environment, which means that its coverage reflects an editorial perspective. Listeners who want a balanced view are advised to compare it with other sources. For the large Lebanese diaspora spread across Europe, the Americas, Africa and Australia, an internet stream is a convenient way to stay informed and to hear the sound of home. The stream is delivered as MP3 at 128 kbps, which keeps speech clear. It plays in your browser on RadioKite, and you can add it to your favourites.
