SomaFM Lush

This stream carries SomaFM's Lush channel, an after-dark selection of sensuous and mellow female vocals, many with an electronic influence. The playlist combines trip hop, chillout, dream pop, downtempo, electronic soul and quiet indie, all centred on expressive voices that float above soft beats and warm synthesizers. The effect is intimate and relaxing, ideal for evenings, late-night conversations or quiet hours of work, with a polished and slightly cinematic sound.

SomaFM is an independent, listener-supported internet radio station based in San Francisco, on air since 1999, and it plays no commercials. Its channels are programmed by hand by people with a taste for refined vocal electronica, which means the stream includes unfamiliar singers along with better-known names. This entry is the MP3 version at 128 kbps, which works on practically every browser, phone and smart speaker, and the artist and title are displayed as each track changes. RadioKite also lists another format of the same channel and a separate Lush entry, which play the same programme, so you can choose whichever suits your device and connection and add it to your favourites.
