La Mejor Monterrey 92.5

La Mejor Monterrey 92.5 is a regional Mexican music station in Monterrey, Nuevo León, from MVS Radio. The programme is built around banda, norteña, grupera and other styles of regional Mexican music, with accordion-led norteño, brass-driven banda and romantic songs by the leading groups and singers of the genre, along with friendly presenters who talk, joke and read dedications in Spanish. The mood is lively, emotional and proud of its roots.

The station broadcasts on 92.5 FM under the call sign XHSRO-FM, and the La Mejor brand is used in several Mexican cities. Monterrey is a major industrial city in the north-east of the country, close to the border with the United States, and norteña music has a particular importance there, as does the cultural exchange with Texas. The online stream allows Mexicans and Mexican Americans living elsewhere to enjoy the sound of home. As a commercial service, it carries advertising and promotional messages between songs. The stream is delivered as MP3 at 128 kbps, which provides a clear sound with good rhythm on most devices and keeps data use moderate. It plays in your browser on RadioKite without installation, and you can add it to your favourites.
