About La Invasora 99.7 FM

La Invasora 99.7 FM is a regional Mexican radio station broadcasting from Tijuana, Baja California, under the call sign XHTY-FM, with programming that targets the San Diego–Tijuana border area. It plays banda, grupera, norteño and other popular Mexican regional styles.

The station is owned and operated by Uniradio, which runs stations in Baja California and Sonora. The call sign XHTY dates from 1999; since 2005 this frequency has carried the San Diego version of La Invasora, while the Tijuana version moved to sister station XHA-FM on 94.5 FM. Uniradio describes it as the most popular regional Mexican station in San Diego. Some reference sources list a different brand for the frequency, so the branding may have changed over time; the stream currently identifies itself as 99.7 La Nueva Invasora.

Programming is in Spanish and is aimed at Mexican and Mexican-American listeners on both sides of the border. The online stream is an MP3 feed at 128 kbps, so the broadcast can be heard well beyond the FM coverage area. Expect popular regional hits, presenters and station identification.
