VOV Giao Thông Ho Chi Minh City

VOV Giao Thông is the traffic and transport channel of the Voice of Vietnam, the national public broadcaster, and this is its Ho Chi Minh City edition. It provides live road and traffic information, travel advisories and news for drivers and commuters in the city and the surrounding southern region, in Vietnamese.

The HCMC service began as a pilot in December 2009 and was officially launched in January 2010, following the Hanoi traffic channel that started in May 2009. It was reported to broadcast on FM 91 MHz, though a current official frequency list was not found. The channel is run by VOV, which is a state-owned public service broadcaster.

Expect short news bulletins, traffic reports, road safety information and music between segments, with a focus on practical information for people on the move. The stream here is delivered as HLS (HTTP Live Streaming) with MPEG-TS audio, which most modern browsers and apps can play.
