Scansat Radio

Scansat Radio is a Norwegian radio station that describes itself as "more than radio". It has been on the air since 2000 and builds its programme around music, community and shared experiences, with a schedule of music shows, music mixes and chat-and-music programmes, plus a weekly bingo on Mondays.

The station is funded by listener support, mainly through Vipps, and the website does not name a corporate owner. Besides streaming online, it broadcasts on DAB in Rogaland, Oslo, Telemark and Vestfold. Listings place its studio in the Stavanger area. The language of the programmes is Norwegian.

The stream registered here is an MP3 feed at 192 kbps. At the time of this review the stream address returned an access error from our checker, so playback may be unreliable until an official stream address is confirmed. Expect a varied music mix with a friendly, community-minded presenter style. Listeners can also follow the station through its website, which publishes the programme schedule.
