La Grosse Radio Rock

La Grosse Radio Rock is the rock channel of La Grosse Radio, a French independent web radio. It plays a broad mix of rock, from alternative and indie to pop-rock hits and legends of the genre, and describes itself as coming from Paris.

La Grosse Radio was founded in 2003 and is run as an association. It presents itself as three free web radios and three webzines that are committed and fully independent, with a stated aim of supporting independent and self-produced artists. The Rock channel has a companion Rock webzine carrying news, reviews, interviews and live reports.

The station is aimed at French-speaking rock fans and broadcasts online only, with an MP3 stream at 192 kbps. Expect a music-led programme with a mix of well known names and lesser known independent bands. Further information and the webzine can be found on the official website. A detailed schedule is not published on the main page, so treat the stream as a continuous rock mix.
