Rai Radio 2

Rai Radio 2 is the second national public radio channel of Italy, published by Rai, the Italian public broadcaster. It focuses on entertainment and contemporary music for a relatively young audience, with a playlist built mostly around pop, rock and adult contemporary, plus some soul, electronic and hip hop.

The channel dates back to 1938, when Italian radio was run by EIAR, and it has carried several names over the decades, including Secondo Programma and Radiodue. In the 1990s it was positioned around entertainment and contemporary music, while Radio 1 concentrated on news and Radio 3 on culture. Since 2020 it has also been offered as a "radiovisione" service, pairing the radio broadcast with video on RaiPlay. Well-known programmes include Il ruggito del coniglio, 610, Caterpillar and Decanter. The station is a member of Eurosonic, a network of European public radio stations focused on music.

The broadcasts are in Italian and mix talk, comedy and music shows. This stream is Rai's official 256 kbps MP3 feed of the channel.
