laut.fm Sound

laut.fm Sound is a German internet radio station on the laut.fm platform that plays American roots music. Its programme centres on folk and country, taking in Americana, old time, traditional and revival styles, folk rock, country rock and country blues, along with what the station describes as all the music that fits between the cracks.

The station is run by a DJ listed as LazyBob and is hosted by laut.fm, a German service that lets independent presenters operate their own web radio channels. The location is given as Darmstadt, Germany. The music is mostly sung in English. Details about any further owner or organisation are not published.

Listeners can expect a guitar-led mix of older and newer recordings, from vintage folk and country gems to modern Americana. The stream is broadcast as 128 kbps MP3 stereo and plays around the clock without interruption, so it is easy to use as background music or for discovering lesser-known roots artists.
