WXB 102

WXB 102 is an internet radio station devoted to new wave, punk rock, post-punk, gothic rock, synthpop and classic alternative rock. Its music draws on artists from the UK, the US and the Philippines, and it is presented with live DJs through the Mixlr platform.

The name revives DWXB-FM, a Metro Manila station launched in 1978 on 102.7 MHz as Magic Disco 102. It later became the first all-new wave station in the Philippines, championing local rock acts, before going off the air on 9 June 1987 after its studio was sequestered. According to Wikipedia, Michael Sutton of Sutton Records brought the brand back online in September 2005, and it has since streamed through Live365, USTREAM and now Mixlr. This listing is labelled Loud 102.3 FM Pampanga in some directories, but we could not confirm a licensed FM broadcast under that name.

Expect an 80s-flavoured alternative sound with English-language programming. The stream is an HLS feed in AAC at roughly 211 kbps, stereo.
