Radio Rivendell

Radio Rivendell is a Swedish internet station named after Tolkien's elven refuge, playing fantasy-inspired music: Celtic, folk, medieval, ambient and film music from fantastic worlds. The mood is dreamy and adventurous. The stream runs around the clock, so there is always something to hear whatever the hour. Because it is delivered over the internet, it is not tied to a single frequency or country, and it can be heard wherever you have a connection.

Sweden has a strong radio culture, with public Sveriges Radio and several commercial networks, and online stations from Sweden reach listeners worldwide. The station is an independent online service, and the details of its operators and schedule are not fully published, so the programme may vary. The stream is delivered as Ogg at 128 kbps, a modern codec that provides a clear and clean sound at a moderate bitrate and works in most current browsers and on phones. It plays in your browser on RadioKite without installation, and you can add it to your favourites.
