Rock Antenne Alternative

Rock Antenne Alternative is an alternative rock channel of the Bavarian station Rock Antenne. The programme covers the indie, alternative and grunge songs that grew out of the guitar underground, from the classics of the 1990s to modern bands, with a youthful, independent spirit. The sound is energetic and melodic, and presentation is minimal.

Germany has one of the largest radio markets in Europe, with the regional public broadcasters of the ARD network, the national Deutschlandradio services and a wide range of private stations and web channels, and German-language radio is a rich source of listening practice for learners and a link with home for Germans abroad. As a commercial service, it carries advertising and promotional messages between programmes. The stream is delivered as MP3 at 128 kbps, a standard quality that sounds clear on most devices and keeps data use moderate. It plays in your browser on RadioKite without installation, and you can add it to your favourites.
