FIP

FIP is the eclectic French public radio station from Radio France, here in a version without advertising. The programme is famous for its musical openness, mixing jazz, rock, world music, chanson, electronic and classical in a seamless flow with short, elegant announcements and no chatter. The selection reflects the taste of programmers who consider music as one big landscape, which gives the station a refreshing and unpredictable quality.

France has a large and varied radio landscape, from the public networks of Radio France to national commercial brands and many independent web stations, and French-language radio is a rich source of listening practice for learners and a link with home for French speakers abroad. Radio France is financed mainly by public funds, so its channels carry limited advertising. The station information does not declare the codec or bitrate of this feed, so the sound quality may vary with the source and your connection. This is the HLS version of the stream, which delivers the audio in short segments over standard web connections and adapts well to changing network conditions. It plays in your browser on RadioKite without installation, and you can add it to your favourites.
