COOLFM B-Side Alternative

COOLFM B-Side Alternative is a channel of the Hungarian internet radio COOLFM, playing indie and alternative rock. The programme concentrates on guitar-based music outside the mainstream, with the favourite songs of the alternative scene and some lesser-known tracks that deserve more attention. The mood is independent, creative and a little melancholic.

Hungary has a busy radio market, with public stations from Duna Média, national commercial networks and many web channels, and Hungarian is a distinctive language unrelated to most of its neighbours. The internet lets Hungarians living abroad keep in touch with the music and voices of home. COOLFM is a Hungarian internet radio network with a large number of themed channels, so listeners can choose a style or era and stay inside it, with minimal talk and no need to build playlists. The stream is delivered as MP3 at 128 kbps, a standard quality that sounds clear on most devices and keeps data use moderate. It plays in your browser on RadioKite without installation, and you can add it to your favourites.
