LBC

LBC, short for Leading Britain's Conversation, is a British news and talk radio station owned and operated by Global and based in London. It is known for live phone-ins, interviews and debate on politics, current affairs and everyday issues.

The station began in 1973 as the London Broadcasting Company, the first commercial radio station licensed in the United Kingdom, and became a national brand when it launched UK-wide on digital radio in February 2014. Its schedule is built around presenter-led shows in which listeners call in to share their views, alongside regular news bulletins.

This stream carries the national LBC service in English as a low-bitrate mono MP3 feed at about 48 kbps, designed for slower connections. Listeners can expect lively, opinionated discussion with a mix of broadcasters, guest interviews and rolling coverage of major stories from the UK and abroad. It is a good choice for anyone who wants to follow the news cycle and hear ordinary callers react to it as it happens.
