SomaFM Covers

Covers is a SomaFM channel with a single, charming rule: just covers. It plays songs you know performed by artists you may not, from stripped-down acoustic takes of rock anthems to jazz reworkings of pop hits, electronic reinterpretations, punk versions of ballads and gender-swapped or genre-bent tributes. The pleasure lies in recognising a melody in unfamiliar clothes and in hearing how a different voice or arrangement changes the meaning of a well-worn song. The tagline says it best: we have got you covered.

SomaFM is an independent, listener-supported internet radio station based in San Francisco that has been on the air since 1999 and plays no commercials.
