WFMU Sheena's Jungle Room

Sheena's Jungle Room is one of the online-only streams of WFMU, the independent freeform radio station based in Jersey City, New Jersey. The stream is devoted to exotica and related music, from primitive and tiki-era sounds to Space Age pop, along with the surrounding oddities, novelty records and lounge curiosities that fit the theme.

WFMU itself is a listener-supported freeform station that broadcasts on 91.1 FM in the New York area and 90.1 FM in the Hudson Valley, and offers several streams and archives online. Sheena's Jungle Room is listed alongside its other streams, Rock'n'Soul Radio and Give the Drummer Radio. Programming is presented by a rotating crew of DJs, and the stream carries shows such as Aloha Fridays, a weekly program of relaxing exotica.

Expect an eclectic, laid-back and sometimes playful mix of vintage records, presented in English. The stream is a 128 kbps stereo MP3 feed that plays around the clock. WFMU publishes playlists for its shows on its website, so listeners can look up what has been played.
