SomaFM Illinois Street Lounge

This stream carries Illinois Street Lounge, SomaFM's tribute to classic bachelor-pad music, playful exotica and the vintage music of tomorrow. The playlist draws on the lounge, easy listening and space-age pop of the 1950s and 1960s: vibraphones, swinging big-band arrangements, Latin rhythms, exotic percussion, retro-futuristic sounds and the odd cocktail-hour crooner. It is stylish, tongue-in-cheek and wonderfully warm, a soundtrack for cocktails, mid-century interiors and anyone who loves a good martini.

SomaFM is an independent, listener-supported internet radio station that has broadcast from San Francisco since 1999 and plays no commercials. The tracks come from the personal collections and research of programmers who adore the era. This entry is the MP3 version at 128 kbps, which works on practically every browser, phone and smart speaker, and the artist and title are displayed whenever the track changes.Illinois Street Lounge works well for dinner parties, retro-themed events and relaxed work sessions, and you can add it to your favourites.
