Viva+

Viva+ is a French-language digital radio channel of RTBF, the public broadcaster of French-speaking Belgium. It is a sister channel of VivaCité and concentrates on popular music of the 1960s and 1970s, aimed at listeners who want to hear the songs of those decades.

The channel is distributed on DAB+ and the RTBF Radioplayer, and has celebrated its third anniversary with an expanded schedule. Programming has included a weekday morning show hosted by Bernard Dewee, a Saturday disco themed show, and occasional Sunday specials about crooners, cover versions and film music. Schedules and presenters change over time, so check the RTBF website for the current line-up.

The stream is a stereo MP3 feed at around 160 kbit/s over HTTPS. Expect well known hits, nostalgic pop, presenter chat in French and a warm, familiar tone rather than news or heavy talk. It suits listeners of oldies and classic pop radio who prefer a gentle, nostalgic listening experience.
