VivaCité Namur & Brabant Wallon

VivaCité Namur & Brabant Wallon is the regional edition of VivaCité, the general-interest French-language public radio network of Belgium. It serves the Namur area and the province of Walloon Brabant with local information, conversation and a broad mix of popular music, alongside programmes shared with the rest of the VivaCité network.

VivaCité is operated by RTBF, the French-speaking Belgian public broadcaster. The network went on air on 29 February 2004, created from the merger of the regional network Fréquence Wallonie and the Brussels station Bruxelles Capitale. It is organised as a set of regional stations covering French-speaking Belgium, and the Namur and Brabant wallon edition carries its own local morning programming focused on regional news and community life.

The programming is in French and aimed at a wide audience: expect regional and national news, local reports, magazines, sport and popular music. The details of the current schedule and presenters are published on the RTBF website. This web stream is delivered as an MP3 feed of about 160 kbps in stereo, so the station can be heard from anywhere with an internet connection, not only within the FM coverage area in Wallonia.
