VivaCité Liège
About VivaCité Liège
VivaCité Liège is the Liège regional edition of VivaCité, the French-language public radio network of the Belgian broadcaster RTBF. It plays a broad, accessible mix of popular music, with personality-driven programmes, news and information, and sport coverage. This stream carries the Liège service as an MP3 stream at 160 kbps.
VivaCité was launched on 29 February 2004, when the former regional network Fréquence Wallonie and the Brussels station Bruxelles Capitale were merged. The network is made up of six regional stations, and Liège is one of them. RTBF is the public service broadcaster of the French Community of Belgium, so the station is part of a public service operation rather than a commercial one.
The station broadcasts in French and is aimed at a general audience in the Liège area and the wider province. Expect local morning programming with regional news, traffic and community information, followed by network shows shared with the other VivaCité stations. Detailed current schedules are published on the RTBF website.
