TOPradio Retro

TOPradio Retro is an online channel of the Belgian dance station TOPradio. The stream, named TOPretroarena in its address, focuses on retro dance and house music, reviving the sound of the Belgian club scene with tracks mainly from the 1990s and 2000s. Programming is a continuous music flow with little talk.

TOPradio itself is a commercial station with studios in Ghent that broadcasts on FM and DAB+ in Flanders and online, and its main audience is listeners who enjoy dance and club music. The retro channel is one of several extra web streams offered next to the main station, each dedicated to a more specific style. Station branding and presenter language are Dutch, while most of the songs themselves are international dance tracks, often sung in English.

Listeners can expect energetic four-on-the-floor beats, classic club anthems, remixes and house favourites rather than current chart hits. The details of ownership and the exact playlist are not published on the pages consulted. The stream is delivered as MP3 at 128 kbps in stereo and is free to listen to.
