I Love Chillhop

I Love Chillhop, from the German station I Love Music, plays lofi, chill beats, jazzhop and trip hop, a laid-back stream for focus or relaxing. The sound is built around mellow drum loops, dusty samples, warm Rhodes chords, soft bass and jazz-influenced melodies, with a steady, unhurried tempo that does not demand attention. It captures the atmosphere of the study-and-chill playlists that became popular online, and it works well for reading, working from home, coding and unwinding in the evening.

I Love Music is a German web radio operator with a large number of channels devoted to different styles, and the Chillhop stream is the one chosen by listeners who want to relax without lyrics. The programme is almost entirely instrumental, with little speech, and any station announcements are in German, though the music is international and mostly wordless. The channel runs around the clock and can be heard in any country. The stream is delivered as MP3 at 192 kbps, a generous bitrate that gives the warm, soft textures of lofi music clarity and depth, particularly on headphones or good speakers. It plays in your browser on RadioKite, and you can add it to your favourites.
