SR P4 Jönköping

P4 Jönköping is the local station of the SR P4 network for the Jönköping area in southern Sweden, with local news and popular music. The stream runs around the clock, so there is always something to hear whatever the hour. Because it is delivered over the internet, it is not tied to a single frequency or country, and it can be heard wherever you have a connection. A station like this works well as an all-day background, and it is easy to leave running at home, in the shop or at the office.

Sveriges Radio is the Swedish public broadcaster, financed by public fees, so its channels carry no advertising. Swedish speech here is clear and a good source of listening practice. The stream is delivered as AAC at 312 kbps, a very high bitrate that gives music a full, clean and detailed sound, particularly on good headphones or speakers, though it uses more data than typical streams. It plays in your browser on RadioKite without installation, and you can add it to your favourites.
