ICI Musique Montréal

ICI Musique Montréal is the French-language music network of Radio-Canada in Montreal. The schedule offers a varied mixture of classical, jazz, blues, world music and chanson, presented by knowledgeable hosts in French.

Canada has a diverse radio landscape, with the public CBC and Radio-Canada services, large commercial groups, campus and community stations and many multilingual and online broadcasters, and its radio reflects a country of English, French and many other languages. Radio-Canada is the French-language service of the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation, funded mainly by the federal government, and its radio services carry no commercial advertising. The language is French, with Canadian accents. The stream is delivered as AAC at 48 kbps, a very low bitrate that keeps data use minimal and is adequate for speech, although the sound is thin and not suited to music. This is a low-bandwidth stream. It plays in your browser on RadioKite without installation, and you can add it to your favourites.
