Jack 96.9

Jack 96.9 is an adult hits radio station in Vancouver, British Columbia, broadcasting on 96.9 FM under the call sign CJAX-FM. It plays a broad mix of pop and rock songs, with a focus on the 1980s and 1990s, and its own tagline promises "80s, 90s, more!" The approach is a wide, jukebox-style playlist rather than a tightly restricted format, so familiar hits sit alongside less expected choices.

The station is owned by Rogers Radio, a division of Rogers Sports & Media, and has its studios in Vancouver's Fairview area. The Jack brand started here in late 2002 and is considered the first conventional radio station in North America to use it. Programming is in English and, as a commercial service, it carries advertising between songs and short breaks.

On RadioKite the station is available as an HLS stream with AAC audio at about 48 kbps in stereo. That is a low bitrate that keeps data use small and suits casual listening on mobile connections, though the sound is less detailed than on higher-quality streams. A detailed programme schedule is not published on the page the official website points to.
