Sveriges Radio P4 Östergötland

Sveriges Radio, usually shortened to SR, is the public service radio broadcaster of Sweden. It is financed through a public service fee and operates independently of the government and of commercial interests, so its channels carry no advertising. SR has produced radio since the 1920s, and its stations are among the most listened to in the country. P4 Östergötland is the local station of SR's P4 network for the county of Östergötland, around Linköping and Norrköping, combining local news, traffic, weather, sport and community stories with a mix of popular music from several decades. The tone is warm and informal, with presenters from the area, and the programme reflects the daily life of the region.

The language is Swedish, which makes this channel a good source for keeping up with regional news and enjoying a friendly, familiar mix of music. The station is free of advertising, and some programmes may be restricted outside Sweden because of rights. This stream is delivered as MP3 at about 156 kbps, which gives speech and music a clear sound on practically every browser, phone and smart speaker, and keeps data use moderate. It plays in your browser on RadioKite without installation, and you can add it to your favourites.
