About Rainwave OC Remix

Rainwave OC Remix is the OverClocked ReMix channel of Rainwave, an online radio network devoted to video game music. It plays fan-made arrangements and remixes of game soundtracks, drawn from the OverClocked ReMix community library, in a continuous stream.

Rainwave began in 2004 as a small project by Robert McAuley and became the official online radio for OverClocked ReMix in 2008. Its distinctive feature is that listeners vote on upcoming songs, so the schedule is shaped by the audience rather than by a fixed playlist. The service is non-commercial and supported largely by its creator and listener donations. OverClocked ReMix itself is a non-commercial community site that has hosted fan-made game music arrangements since December 1999.

Expect a wide range of styles, from orchestral and rock arrangements to electronic, chiptune-flavoured and jazz reinterpretations of classic and modern game themes. It suits fans of game music and anyone curious about community-made remixes. Tracks are songs rather than talk, and there is no regional focus, since the audience is international. The stream is delivered in Ogg Opus format, and the station's own site, linked above, shows the current song and the upcoming voting choices.
