Megazone Bollywood

Megazone Bollywood is a South African station from Durban that is dedicated to Bollywood music. It started as an online stream with a large international audience and later received a licence to broadcast on 104.8 FM in the Umhlanga area and surrounding districts.

The station is owned by Megazone Media, whose CEO, Vishal Maharaj, said the move to FM was meant to reach listeners who could not afford data for streaming. Reports describe a schedule built around presenter-hosted shows, with a morning religious programme, local news and sport alongside the film music. The programming is mainly in English, with Hindi film songs as the core of the music. Current schedule details are not published on the pages checked.

Expect Hindi film hits, old and new, with friendly presenters aimed at the Indian community in KwaZulu-Natal and fans of Bollywood elsewhere. The online stream is delivered as MP3 at 128 kbit/s stereo.
