Rádio Mária Slovensko

Rádio Mária Slovensko is the Slovak branch of Radio Maria, an international Catholic radio network. It broadcasts religious and spoken-word programming in Slovak, and the stream identifies itself as Radio Maria Slovakia with the genre "Talk". Expect prayer, reflections, religious discussion and Catholic teaching rather than a mainstream music format.

Radio Maria began in Italy in 1987 and is operated worldwide by the World Family of Radio Maria, which has branches in dozens of countries. Each national branch broadcasts in its own language, and the Slovak one is listed among Christian and Catholic stations in Slovakia. Its official website is radiomaria.sk; the site blocked automated access, so details of its schedule, funding and exact ownership structure could not be verified here.

The audience is Slovak-speaking Catholics and anyone interested in religious life and faith-based talk. The stream on RadioKite is a low-bitrate MP3 feed at about 40 kbps in mono, which keeps data use small and suits speech content.
