Rádio Melody

Rádio Melody is a Slovak private commercial radio station broadcasting from Bratislava. It plays soft adult contemporary music, mostly hits from the 1970s to the 1990s, and uses the slogan Hity vášho života (Hits of your life).

The station started on 8 May 2006 and was first known as Jemné Melódie, then Rádio Jemné, before taking the name Rádio Melody. It is listed among the radio stations of Bauer Media. Its target audience is listeners aged roughly 25 to 49 who want relaxed, familiar music for work and leisure. Programming is in Slovak.

Besides the music, listeners get current topics, information, traffic and weather updates during the day. The stream used here is a lower-bandwidth MP3 feed at 64 kbit/s in stereo, delivered over HTTPS from the Bauer Media servers, which suits mobile connections and background listening. Expect gentle pop and soft rock favourites rather than fast-paced or experimental programming.
