bigFM Deutschrap

bigFM Deutschrap is a themed webradio channel of the German youth radio brand bigFM, focused on German-language rap and hip hop. It plays current and established tracks from the German rap scene around the clock as a continuous music stream.

bigFM is described on its website as a brand of Audiotainment Südwest GmbH & Co. KG and is known for its urban and hip hop oriented programming, with regional stations across several German federal states in addition to a range of online-only genre channels such as this one. The website and the channel are in German, and the audience is mainly younger listeners.

Expect a music-driven programme with little talk, centred on rap from Germany, Austria and Switzerland. The stream is delivered over HTTPS as AAC at about 128 kbit/s in stereo, which works well on phones and in browsers. Detailed information about the channel's playlist and editorial team is not published on the main bigFM page, so only the general format is described here.
