Cidade Hip Hop

Cidade Hip Hop is a Portuguese internet radio channel playing hip hop. It is one of the thematic streams of the Cidade brand, listed on cidade.fm next to Cidade FM, Cidade Latina and Cidade Funk, and it offers a continuous selection of rap and hip hop tracks.

The Cidade website is marked as copyright of BMHAUDIO Portugal Holdings and carries the Bauer logo, and the stream is hosted on the bauermedia.pt domain, so the channel appears to belong to Bauer Media Audio Portugal. The site is in European Portuguese, while the station's own language mix is not described there; much hip hop is performed in English and Portuguese, so listeners can expect both.

The channel is aimed at Portuguese listeners who want a dedicated hip hop service without the pop and dance of the main Cidade FM station. It lists recently played songs on its website. The stream is delivered over HTTPS as HLS (an m3u8 playlist) with AAC audio at about 128 kbps, which adapts well to browsers, phones and most modern radio apps.
