rautemusik Christmas Schlager

rautemusik Christmas Schlager is a seasonal web radio channel that plays German-language Christmas songs in the schlager tradition. The mix centres on festive schlager and discofox titles about winter, Advent and Weihnachten, and it is meant to be left running through the holiday season, whether in the kitchen, at a Christmas market stand or at a family gathering.

The channel belongs to rautemusik (rm.fm), a German internet radio network that started broadcasting in April 2003 and now runs dozens of themed channels by genre, mood and occasion. The network is based in Germany, and its website and presentation are in German, which suits the vocal schlager repertoire here. The stream's metadata lists the genre as World and Special, reflecting its seasonal character. The official page is rm.fm/christmas-schlager.

Listeners can expect warm, sing-along German Christmas schlager and festive pop mixed with some classic holiday material, played back to back with very little talk. The stream is 192 kbit/s MP3 delivered over HTTPS, so it plays in browsers, apps and common internet radio devices. Our automated check confirmed that the stream is live, decodes correctly and is not silent. Because it is a themed channel, it is most relevant in the weeks before Christmas; for year-round German schlager, the same network offers other schlager channels.
