rautemusik Country

rautemusik Country is the country music channel of rautemusik (rm.fm), a German internet radio network. It plays country and western songs around the clock, from classic country and Americana to contemporary country-pop, with folk influences along the way.

The channel is operated from Germany by the rautemusik network, which began broadcasting on 20 April 2003 and now runs dozens of channels, each devoted to a single genre or theme. The songs are predominantly in English, as is usual for country music, while the network, its web player and its audience are German-speaking. Its stream metadata lists the genres as Special, Rock & Metal and World rather than a dedicated country category.

Listeners can expect a steady flow of music rather than talk-heavy programming, which suits background listening at home or at work. The stream is delivered over HTTPS as MP3 at 192 kbit/s, stereo, and can be played through the rm.fm web player and apps as well as in third-party radio directories. Detailed playlists and presenter information are not published for this channel.
