Greu de Difuzat

Radio Greu De Difuzat is a Romanian station playing Romanian hip hop and urban music, with local talents and recent hits. The name is a play on Romanian words that suggests records that are hard to broadcast, and the programme brings together rap, trap and street music from artists who may be excluded from the mainstream playlists. The selection focuses on the Romanian scene, from the pioneers of the 1990s to the most recent names that dominate streaming charts, with lyrics in Romanian and the occasional dialect or slang.

Hip hop in Romania has grown rapidly and has a loyal following, particularly among young people, and an online station gives the community a place to hear new music without waiting for traditional radio to catch up. The programme is mainly music, with a few announcements, and the style is direct and unpolished, as one would expect from a scene that grew up independently. The content may include explicit language. The stream is delivered as MP3 at 128 kbps, which provides a clear sound with solid bass on most devices and keeps data use moderate. It plays in your browser on RadioKite without installation, and you can add it to your favourites to follow the Romanian rap scene.
