Bayern 3

Bayern 3 is the pop and hit radio channel of Bayerischer Rundfunk (BR), the public broadcaster for the German state of Bavaria and a member of the ARD network. It plays current chart music and well-known pop and rock hits, mixed with news, traffic and weather, entertainment features, and morning and afternoon shows presented in German.

As a public service station it is funded mainly by the broadcasting licence fee and is aimed at a broad, younger-to-middle-aged audience across Bavaria. Alongside the music, expect regional news, reports, competitions and interviews, plus coverage of events in Bavaria.

This RadioKite entry is the HLS (HTTP Live Streaming) feed with AAC audio at roughly 192 kbit/s, stereo, the higher-quality variant of the programme. The content matches the station's other streams; only the audio quality and the bandwidth needed differ. HLS streams adapt well to mobile connections and are widely supported by modern players.
