Bayern 1 Schwaben

Bayern 1 Schwaben is the regional version of Bayern 1, one of the public radio channels of Bayerischer Rundfunk (BR), serving the Swabian part of Bavaria in southern Germany. It plays a mix of popular music and oldies together with news, weather, traffic information and regional reports.

Bayerischer Rundfunk is a member of the ARD network of German public broadcasters and is funded mainly through the broadcasting licence fee. Bayern 1 is split into regional programmes, and this stream carries the Schwaben variant, so listeners hear local content for their area alongside the shared main programme. The language is German, and the audience is mainly adults who like familiar music and dependable regional information.

Expect familiar hits, friendly presentation and regular service information, suitable for listening throughout the day. The stream is a 128 kbps stereo MP3 delivered over HTTPS, and it works in any common browser or radio app. More information about programmes and presenters can be found on the Bayern 1 pages of the BR website.
