SWR3

SWR3 is the pop and rock station of Südwestrundfunk, covering Baden-Württemberg and Rhineland-Palatinate, playing pop hits of the 1980s, 1990s and today with news, traffic and entertaining shows in German. The stream runs around the clock, so there is always something to hear whatever the hour. Because it is delivered over the internet, it is not tied to a single frequency or country, and it can be heard wherever you have a connection. A station like this works well as an all-day background, and it is easy to leave running at home, in the shop or at the office.

SWR is part of the ARD public network, financed mainly by licence fees, so its channels carry limited advertising. The stream is delivered as MP3 at 128 kbps, a standard quality that sounds clear on most devices and keeps data use moderate. This is another listing of the station. It plays in your browser on RadioKite without installation, and you can add it to your favourites.
