Mix 106.5

Mix 106.5 is a Mexico City station from Grupo ACIR playing English and Spanish pop hits from the 80s, 90s and 2000s, a bilingual mix aimed at adults. The playlist moves between international pop and rock favourites and Spanish-language hits from Mexico, Spain and Latin America, so a song by a British band can be followed by a Mexican ballad or a Latin pop classic. The presentation is light and friendly, with a focus on feel-good music for the office, the commute and the evening.

The station broadcasts on 106.5 FM under the call sign XHDFM-FM, and the Mix brand is also found in other Mexican cities and in several Latin American countries, built on the idea of mixing languages and eras in a single programme. For learners of Spanish, the combination of familiar English-language hits and Spanish songs makes it an interesting listen, and for Mexicans abroad it is a taste of the capital's airwaves. As a commercial service, it carries advertising between songs. The stream is delivered as AAC+ at 48 kbps, a low bitrate that keeps data use small. It plays in your browser on RadioKite, and you can add it to your favourites.
