Rádio Mix 106.3

Rádio Mix 106.3 is a São Paulo pop station playing contemporary hits and pop-rock for young listeners. The programme combines chart favourites with lively presenters, entertainment news and competitions. The sound is bright and energetic, aimed at listeners who want to follow what is current in pop.

Brazil has one of the largest radio audiences in the world, with AM and FM stations in every city and a strong tradition of news, sport and music on the air, and Brazilian Portuguese is spoken with a warm and rhythmic character that learners find rewarding. The internet lets Brazilians living abroad keep in touch with the sound of home. As a commercial service, it carries advertising and promotional messages between programmes. The stream is delivered as AAC+ at 64 kbps, a low bitrate that keeps data use small and is adequate for casual listening, though the sound is less detailed than on higher-bitrate streams. It plays in your browser on RadioKite without installation, and you can add it to your favourites.
