ON Radio Movies

ON Radio's Movies channel plays film soundtracks and musicals. It is one of a family of genre streams from the German web radio network. The programme gathers famous themes from cinema, from classic orchestral scores to modern blockbusters, animation and musicals, with music that evokes memorable scenes. The mood is cinematic and emotional, suited to work, relaxation and evenings with film fans.

Germany has one of the largest radio markets in Europe, with the regional public broadcasters of the ARD network, the national Deutschlandradio services and a wide range of private stations and web channels, and German-language radio is a rich source of listening practice for learners and a link with home for Germans abroad. ON Radio is an internet-only operator, so its channels can be heard anywhere and run around the clock with very little talk. Announcements are in German, but the music is international. The stream is delivered as MP3 at 128 kbps, a standard quality that sounds clear on most devices and keeps data use moderate. It plays in your browser on RadioKite without installation, and you can add it to your favourites.
